hi,

while i was cleaning out my lens box i found an old tamron 400mm.

i remember buying it at a flea market for about 3 uero,
but sins this was in the beginning of my addiction ( yeah u know it is :p ).
and my focusing whit manual lenses was bad it never got the attention it deserved.

actually, its pritty sharp ( wipes the flour with my Olympus 70-300mm ).

not allot of ca, bit non contrastsy, in these times thats not really a problem.

I am a bit sad that i cant get infinity Sad so no moon shot ( its like 1mm short )

Out of the box no tweaks.

100% crop

is this good or bad ? i could be wrong

tnx Very Happy

That 400/7.5 makes a 800mm f/15 on your camera.
Dark, very dark.
Pictures are underexposed. You should use a tripod.

Looks like it's resolving a lot of detail! I have one too and it's vert light, bit like a drain pipe! Whilst the depth of field will be the equivalent of an f15 lens, the lens will still get the same amount of light, so the viewfinder shouldn't be any darker.

Mine looks like Luis':

You`re right.
It would be a 800/7.5.
Still, you need at least 1/800 shutter speed.
