Found a quiescent fly on my garden trellis today and it was kind enough to pose without moving long enough to get my macro rig out.......

Just a really inexpensive enlarger lens on M42 bellows.

f16 hand held at 1/15s so blurred slightly

focus stacked 5 images at f5.6

The stacked shots were wider aperture (f5.6?) and consequently were 1/50s at ISO800. I was really lucky that the fly (what I normally call a "horse fly") stayed still for so long.

Very nice! Getting cooperation like that is unusual. It's wonderful that you could take advantage of it.
