Printing on a Fuji Frontier

I've found by chance what looks like a nice Fuji-only lab on the way to work, and since I've read good things about Fuji Frontier printing, I'd like to give it a try.

I'm still a bit unclear about the best way to prepare my images: the Frontier prints at 300dpi, and many people say that it's best to avoid any up or downsampling done by the machine, and to prepare files by up or downsampling them with an image editing program, targetting the desired print size. Unfortunately, borderless printing on the Frontier machine reduces the available space by a (to me) unknown wuantity, and all examples I've found are in inches, while our print sizes are in metric units.

I tried qimage, which is supposed to have the best up or downsampling algorithms, and to take care of adapting images to print sizes automatically, but the dpi figures I get are not exactly 300dpi, so I'm a bit lost.

Any of you has printed on a Frontier, and if so how did you prepare your files?
