Has anyone tried these filters? For IR sensitive cameras, it is meant to improve WB, colour accuracy and reduced colour noise in low light where there is a strong IR source.

I use such filters, especially the excellent Baader UV / IR Cut filter for my work, if I need a pure VIS image (when using a full spectrum converted DSLR).

The famous Leica M8 IR leakage problem was also cured using a similar Cut Filter.

Ideally such a filter should look like this:



as DSLRs are not sensitive beyond 1000nm, that transmission beyond has no negative impact.
