After looking at 3 rolls of 35mm, I'm wondering why I didn't take some
shots with my mobile. The girl above, Becky, is 20 years old and
doesn't know how to drive a car. She does a lot of walking and has legs that remind me of home, where the girls start iceskating and skiing when
they are 4-5 years old:
yep, another Sony shot
Remembered not to crop her foot in this one...barely. lol |

Nice cam and nice shots, Bill.
I keep mine always at hand, but it has a drawack: The small screen symbols and fonts are too difficult to read, even with glasses. I carry a small magnifier in the cam bag, without it I couldn't use the little gem.
Regards.

Jes. thanks, I shoot mostly in Aperture mode, which is the only thing I
have to dial in for whatever effect. I had sharpness set to 'normal' but
now have it at -1, will see if that helps as I don't use sharpening at all
in PP and still see haloing going on. |

The V1 is still my most-used camera. This is my third copy -- I broke the first two, and the first was very expensive new in 2004! It is "most-used" because it is perfect for eBay product shots, in a small light tent, with contrast and sharpness and contrast all set to -1 for punching-up in PP. Otherwise they are all set to +1. For product shots in Sv with MACRO on, set time to 3 seconds and the V1 automatically sets most narrow aperture.
Outside the mini-studio, it is VERY convenient for street shooting. Good for city night shots on tripod, Sv up to 30 seconds, ISO 100. Good for grainy-noisy low-light still or video work in NightShot (IR) mode, with colors fixed in PP, or maybe left in sniperscope green for drama. I have a Sony HVL-IRM infrared light for shooting in total darkness. A great setup to explore the night!
And because NightShot mode removes the IR-blocking hot-filter, IR filters can be used for daylight handheld shooting, at least with 780 and 900 and 930nm filters. The 1000nm filter needs a tripod, as do the 900 and 930nm in subdued light. I can work the other end of the spectrum, with actinic (UV-violet-blue) light, such as earliest photo emulsions saw. I can also stack various B&W filters for different tonal effects. For monochrome, set the Sepia effect, and adjust in PP.
If only it had RAW output... _________________ Too many film+digi cams+lenses, oh my -- Pentax K20D, K-1000, M42s, more

Perhaps you did give me an idea, I will try it out with Nex-3, if it works I couldn't be happier _________________ -------------------------------
