Hello!

I have a problem with a M42 Helios-44-2 58mm f2 Lens.
The lens looks good, but with my adaptor (M42 to Sony Alpha from enjoyyourcamera.com) on the Sony a850 the focus can't go to infinity. The Picture is very blurred at infinity focus. It looks as though, just missing a small piece, until the picture is quite sharp. Shocked

My Questions:

Is the flange correct?
Or have i a wrong adapter?
Can i correct this?

Sorry for my bad english, i'm german Wink

greets,
Fabian

Sony Alpha register is 44.6 while the M42 is 45.46.
The thickness of your adapter should be 0.86mm.
I have yet to see an adapter that thin and I bet yours is thicker than 1mm. That's why you don't reach the infinity.
You have to sand it down with some sandpaper and measure it with a caliper.
If my math is not good somebody in da house would chime in pretty soon.

The cheap chrome M42->A mount adaptor should not be too thick. You can find them on ebay.
