Hello everyone.

I've recently caught the manual bug and have been trawling that auction site ever since. I've made a few purchases, nothing too exciting but having oodles of fun nonetheless.

The noted, Hansa 200mm 4.5, is my latest aquisition. Bought more out of curiosity than anything else (very cheap also - never hurts). At first sight I's admit it doesn't promise too much being as slow as it is. It is very solid though and is fitted with a collar to mount to a tripod. The aperture is controlled by twin collars, one which sets the min value and the which varies continuously up to that setting (F4.5 - F22 ).Though I struggled to count there's ~16 aperture blades present. Either way it will fill a niche for me for the time being. Below is a very quick & dirty and unscientific test shot (~F5 unfettled), I'd welcome thoughts, and any info on the manufacturer (?) I'll try to get some pics of the lens sorted in the near future.

100%

Best Regards,
Steve.

Ah, we know this lens. Made by Tokina (Tokyo-Koki), rebranded under various names. This is the first 'Hansa' brand afaik.

Darn-I thought I'd be the first, then I could use my "found a Hansa" joke...

200mm f/4.5~32 preset, T-Thread
Mine's made by Sankor, but looks like they bought the tripod collars at the same place as Tokina!

"The Hansa portion of the Hansa Canon name came from a sales company, Omiya Shashin Yohin Company, Ltd. [Omiya camera and accessory shop Ltd] The Hansa trade name was the property of Omiya, who did the initial marketing of the Hansa Canon in 1936 and 1937"

The most recent 200/4.5 looks like a Sankor, so a different lens than the first one Smile
