My two Copy Ektars (similar to this Printing Ektar) are interesting lenses. They do not have modern coatings and are subject to flare -- they were NOT built to aim into lights! Hoods are necessary. One of mine has fungus and low contrast and softness; the other is clear, with excellent contrast and sharpness. I consider the clear Ektar to have very good IQ.
Both of mine have 1.5 inch screwmounts, just over 38mm. I use M39-M42 adapter rings, held on with a drop of glue, and cheap new M42 macro tubes that lack auto-aperture pins. Tubes with pins have throats too small for the lens body.
