I used this film some time, for maximal contrast use the minimal dilution with Rodinal : 1+25. Shaprness and gray range are very good.

by the way this is the most affordable b&w film nowadays, less than 3€ ! it beats even Foma : )

I have used this film a lot in 120, and like it very much. Now I am using 35 mm Tura P100 (I think) which is rebadged APX. I always develop it in Rodinal 1+100. Very sharp and good tones, but grainy so I prefer it in medium format. The negatives are usually very easy to print (for me)

I've no experience with Foma developers. For Rodinal it's possible to have more grain, maybe because of the high dilution.

I use Rollei RHS (rebranded D74/AM74) in 1+7 dilution almost for everything which is B/W and it works very well. It's not expensive also (1.2 L concentrate is 10,58EUR)

You can try it too.

Attila, I used Rollei Retro 100 quite a bit, which was the last APX100 emulsion from Agfa spooled by Rollei. I much preferred HC-110 with it, as it gave me more predictable results than Rodinal, and more or less the same results IQ wise. HC-110 is also cheap and easy to dilute, much like Rodinal.

I also develop APX 100 in HC-110 and I like the results. I haven't tried any alternatives, though, since I like to develop everything with the same chemicals.

Keep in mind that 1L of HC-110 will suffice for 120 to 200 rolls, depending on the dilution used and your tank capacity (steel tanks are usually smaller).

Edit: a very nice resource on hc-110 is here
