Would you buy a second hand flash worth €160 with 7 day return warranty only or pay more to get 6 months warranty?

I am looking at a used Nikon SB-600.

Thanks.

The flash heads wear out and replacing them costs about as much as what the flash is worth. I'd pay 100-120 EUR max for a used SB-600 with no known history of how many flash cycles it has seen.

Yongnuo & Nissin flashes are worth looking at.

My strobist buddies swear by them and I have a couple of the former to replace my aging Nikon SB-28s and they are pretty good for £50 brand new.

New price here approx. 245 €. So the difference for your used one is not large.

Thanks folks. I will look into the Chinese Yongnuo 465 flash model later. Call me foolish, but I have actually gone for the SB-600 2nd hand for €160. Let's hope for the best now!! Sad
