Just got a Wollensak 90 Velostigmat last month. It is one of the coolest looking lenses and it has stamped Leitz USA on it. Took it out last weekend on the M9. Focus was right on but its a little weak in contrast. I knew it would be lower contrast but I am not sure if this is normal Anyway here is a sample:
Straight out of the camera.
A little contrast boost in LR3. Maybe could have been a little more.
Simple B&W creative look-2 in LR3.
Looks like it will be a fun lens for B&W. I know, you all want to see a picture of the lens... I am working on it...

Thanks,
I am still curious, is the low contrast in the first pic normal for a lens of this age? It is not fogged or anything.

When this lens was made ?
I have lenses what made after 1937 those lenses produce clear, beautiful images. I don't have personal experience lenses what made before 1937
I saw a couple of examples here I didn't like them so I didn't try any. I also not like your Wollensak lens output looks to me like a very bad lens or a good lens with high amount of fungus or haze.
Some pre war lenses

Thank you Atiila,
That is the lens I have. Mine is perfectly clear and clean so I am not sure why the low contrast image. It is a shame because it is a really cool looking lens although a bit of a PITA to use.

Try to boost contrast and saturation and sharpness in PS , if it helps you will be lucky, if not , you will have a nice lens into your collection , never mind.
Also try it out on bright sunlight I think these lenses were designed for ideal light I guess also these lenses were budget level lenses. Shoot inside at available light not strongest part of them. I look forward your outdoor shoots and post processed ones. Don't give up _________________ -------------------------------
