Regularly 9,999.00! Grab it before he changes his mind back, hahaha. I wonder how many hopes and dreams he has pinned on that baby selling.

Not at all. Zunow (the legendary fifties fast lens and advanced pro SLR maker) did already collapse around the time the initial Zoomar was released, and never made a zoom. This one obviously is some 20-30 years younger, so it is just someone grabbing old void trademarks. Probably an Aussie importer as the ones I've seen before were all AUD or NZD priced. Priced in the tens or twenties, by the way, and they didn't sell nonetheless - the chances to find a fool who drops $7500 for it are very slim indeed. _________________ Sevo

If you want to make fun for seller , take it and don't pay it
when unpaid item case come , confirm you will pay for that.
Ebay will close unpaid item case and seller have to pay 7500 USD* 4%= 300 USD ad final value fee. It will help to teach seller about right price level
this did happen with me

Your offer price: US $15.00

If I am the lucky winner I will auction it here, and the first 5000 dollars (or M42 - EOS adapter) takes it!

The pricing insanity might have several explanations:
-The seller probably Googled "zunow" and saw that Zunow lenses are rare and expensive, and priced accordingly and hopefully
-The seller is on strong medication because of a recent medical procedure and thus their judgement is impaired
-The US dollar has been massively devalued and the seller was the first to find out
Just thoughts that come to mind... _________________ Eugene

I think the seller is just misinformed and I would not want to cost him money like was suggested but we could still have some fun...
We could ask him all kinds of technical questions:
How many blades in the aperture?
How many aspherical elements?
Is it the Australian version? Too bad that would be worth $10,000...
What type of multi-coating?
We can post the answers back here...
I don't have an Ebay account but his email is posted.

But that is the real deal - the first 35mm lens faster than 2.0, and a legend for its optical quality. In a near mint (or "minty" photoshopped) condition too. Stuff like that has its price - besides being a good lens it is a museum-worthy piece of photo history. _________________ Sevo |

I bet the thrift shop seller saw that auction, saw that his lens was larger, a made the price accordingly higher, as lenses usually sell by weight. _________________ Eugene
