Panny 7-14mm f4 or Voigtlander 12mm F5.6 + NEX-3?

Which would you go for if you are going WA?

I have a G1 already. I was thinking about saving up for a Panny 7-14mm f4 lens. But it is quiet expensive - £700.

I have seen some results in the post on using the Voigtlander 12mm F5.6 + Sony NEX. The price would be around the same I guess for a used body only + Voigtlander super WA lens.

Or back to owning Canon 5D as I already have a 17mm f3.5 Tammy MF lens? I had already, may be should not have sold it

What's the design of this Voigtlander 12 mm ?
if it's simmilar to biogon you will get a vigneting with a strong colour cast.

PS:
Actually it's not that bad - there is a strong vigneting but the colour cast almost doesn't exist.

without doubt 12mm + nex-3 friend of mine have it, he has lot of $$$ equipment and he said this is a stunning perfect combo. 18mm ... without distortion and it is deliver sharp result from corner to corner. He is very happy with it.

The olympus 9-18mm is another option worth looking at. It's cheaper than the 7-14mm.

This Panny looks really good .. and it's automatically corrected in the body.

I know that maybe the correction is easy to do with cornerfix (after you make a profile of the lens) but i found myself not bothering to do so. It requires some more time to do conversion from raw to Adobe dng, then fix it and then play again..

I went with the 9-18 and it is surprisingly tiny, takes filter too. Waiting for the inevitable NEX-7 and skipping the NEX3/5

The main advantage of the 7-14 on the G1 is the zoom and the wider angle.
The main advantage of the 12mm + NEX is the sensor and the size.
You decide...

(And if you want to go wider some day with a NEX, there is the Sigma 8-16 that can be adapted. Doesn't work really well, but hey Sigma does have the E-mount specifications and they perhaps take this lens to the NEX system.)

What about Sigma 10-20mm in Nikon mount as I have a D2H already? Lost of AF on the Panny is not a problem to me.
