hi,

i got a p6 to m42 adapter on my sonnar 180mm/f2.8.
the adapter has a tube that fit deep inside the lens.
i think it is not really essesary.
may i cut it off to use it with my biometar 80mm/f2.8?
and how can i cut the best way?

That is a very strange adapter I saw it only once, instead of cut off keep or sell it to collectors and buy a new one. Chinese made ones are cheap really.
