Some may recall my earlier threads attempting to locate one of these rare MM beasts to mount on my A900 with a Leitax solution. After a long search, I was able to locate one in mint condition from a private seller, a price was agreed upon and I waited for it to arrive. In the meantime, a short auction was listed on ebay that went somewhat undetected for an unused copy in box which I was able to secure for 4100! This was a significant savings over the initial copy I received (which was why I bid). Now, after a couple of years of poking around, I am to have two copies of this lens.

My plan now is to resell a copy to cover the price I originally paid plus some extra for the box/lens bag if I sell here, or perhaps to take a small profit from ebay if nobody here is interested in this opportunity.

This post is now updated to reflect that the lens is officially for sale. I will accept offers here for lower than I could on ebay as through the bay I would be forced to absorb fees.

Hi Attila, I again forgot the rules Embarassed I was pretty excited to share this news I guess.

I did prefer to start as a feeler/heads-up where experienced members might discuss their thoughts on my offer before going live when I finally receive my second copy. In the end though, I wouldn't discriminate on # of posts before accepting an interested buyer.

For feelers, is it ok then to post here? I didn't even think to look here as it is listed as 'customer support', I'm not sure how many others like me might never come to this folder.

I'll move to the marketplace when I am ready to sell, I was interested to hear what others thought of the offer in the meantime.

K.

Discuss here what you would like about this lens, that is fine and please list it at Marketplace soon as you can.

Kelly, feeler no feeler, all that you want is $5000. So, ADD just the link with the sale into your first post. No bumps. Read again the sticky and what Atilla said.

It is not yet for sale until I have the second copy in my hands. I do plan to update my thread then.

Just my thoughts - I believe forum style sales are much easier to browse casually and converse with trusted, intelligent people rather than everything formatted in rigid catagories. We have ebay for that don't we? I would rather discuss in a forum.

Kelly , forum format capable only for limited sales, for larger amount it is not works. This Marketplace can be alternative for Ebay, items already visited by same amount of visitors than on Ebay. A well organized place like Marketplace help to find older listings and for all selling you can open a support thread for talking, this is a good compromise and help to make an Ebay alternative and left Ebay commission in seller pockets.

That makes sense, but perhaps this folder could be called something more conducive to browsing? Perhaps 'Marketplace Discussion - read rules'.

Thanks for the explanation!

Thank you for title suggestion I think that is excellent. We will discuss it.

The lens itself.

Note, I had to hold the lens up to the camera to take pics. Obviously, this is not ideal for many reasons including light leakage and focus plane tilting and having to 'focus with my feet'. I just couldn't wait to get a glimpse of what the lens could do and I was not disappointed!
