Hi,

I am looking for a (?PB?) mount to put a Carl Zeiss Jena II F=24mm 1:2.8 MC Macro Lens onto my Canon 5D Mark II. I shaved down the metal on back so it wont hit mirror, but the mount I have is a bit too thick and I cant focus to infinity.

Any good sources recommended for this? Anyone else using this lens with 5d?

The lens must be Sigma made Prakticar-bayonette (PB) mount lens,
though I am not 100% sure of it without looking at it.

The most of PB->EF adapters do not give you infinity focus, since
the thickness of adapter's base metal should be 0.40 mm but none of them are not so thin.
So either you should shave the base metal a bit or use it as is
without reaching infinity unfortunately. Though some Prakticars
have production variabilities which mean some of them can focus
infinity with any PB->EF adapters. QC at East-german under communist rule wasn't great.

I think a single adapter (I mean you cannot mount/dismount Prakticar
lens without taking the whole thing from Canon camera, those types)
is often capable to reach infinity AFAIK. I do not know which adapter you have.

Check my info: http://www.pbase.com/kkawakami/prakticar_to_eos_adapters

CAMPLUS one is recommendable if you use only one PB lens, but your lens
seems a made-in-japan lens luck is a dim.

BTW, PB mount's register distance is 44.4 mm, EF mount is 44.0 mm.
