Pentacon 6 to M42

I have a Pentacon 300/4 that has the Pentacon 6 to M42 adaptor that a lot of these came with. My question is, how do I remove this?
I fancy buying what looks like some very nice glass for that mount, but I can't see any point in duplicating an adaptor.

It's been on the lens since I bought it, about 10 years ago. Is it just a simple twist, and I need to use more force? Is there something I'm missing?

All input, on both the adaptor, and the available glass for the Pentacon 6 mount, is appreciated.

it's probably similar to P6 to 4/3 adapter that i have. hold the adapter so the lens is away from you, then turn the adapters collar to the right to open

here you can find all info on P6 lenses you need:

It's a reverse thread, turn clockwise.

I felt a little give, but I suspect I don't have enough "Oomph" to move it. I'll take it into work tomorrow, and get someone there to remove it.

I used an oil filter remover tool on mine when it became stuck.

Adaptor duly removed. It took 2 of us, and a pair of Tea Towels to do it, but it is done. Used some Graphite Lock Lube on the thread before putting it back on, and only nipped it up. I will now look at buying some P6 Glass.

Many thanks for the tip, I hadn't sussed it was a reverse thread, and in all likelihood, tightened it even more.
