hello here

I received my Zeiss Biotar ( the oldie ) : ) . The lens feels fantastic, a bit of time to get used to it, but wow !!! Handling and feeling of steel, the mix with the 5D and the optical performance is stunning. Here are some test shots.

the two first @ iso 400 last is iso 100.

I love the mood in the first photo, it's quite dark and foreboding, and the cemetery shot is great. The leafy lead-in and the shadow of the cross on the mausoleum really make it for me. Where is this cemetery?

Yep, the Biotar is a nice one!
Of your shots I like #3 the best.

This is a cemetary located in Roubaix, north of France. It's about 50 meters from my home. It's big and has some serious "interesting" graves. The first shot is in Lille.

thanx for the input : )

Ok thanx for the input @ all : )

Yesterday, we walked across a "fordibben to photographs" cemetary, not the best hour, but there was some sun.

here you are :

by the way i have no idea what's on the middle in pic 1, can it be flare, or just sun reflexions ? lens was at f8.

I really like that first one - and they're 'Ghost Orbs' in the image Wink

Is it a private cemetery, or is there a reason for photography being forbidden?

It is not a private one Malachy, it might be the fact that some graves are real ruins, and some sepultures are really falling into pieces

oh well we've only been in the most old part of this place, it's located in Belgium : )
