Hi, happy Holidays!
I have a question: a Voigtländer Ultron 55mm f1.4 Ar like this:
or an Voigtländer Ultron 50mm f1.8 like this
can be mounted on Olympus 4/3?
I suppose they have a QBM mount (or DKL? ), so I have seen adapters for canon or micro4/3; I'm not seeing either a qbm to M42.
Many Thanks and..Merry Christmas to all. _________________ Lenses: M42: CZJ 3.5/135 - Meyer/Pentacon 2.8/135 - Meyer 4/200 - Berolina Westromat 2.8/35 - Accura Diamatic 5.5/300

Happy Christmas for you too.
The lenses have QBM mount. Deckel is the mount for leaf shutters.
QBM to M42 is not possible (without glass), QBM to Olympus is adaptable. |

Note that those two lenses are the more recent Voigtländer designs and not the same as the Zeiss Planar 50/1.4 (obviously) and 50/1.8. The 55/1.4 AR doesn't have the HFT coating and the 50/1.8 has a simplified optical formula with 6 elements instead of 7.
They may still be good, but in case you were looking for a cheap way to get Zeiss designed lenses, this is not the way. |

Although there are adapters available for QBM to m4/3, I can't find a QBM to 4/3 adapter available, at least on eBay. |

The 50/1.8 Ultorn is not the same lens as Rollei Planar 50/1.8?

http://www.taunusreiter.de/Cameras/Rollei_QBM_Zeiss_dt.html |
Yes and no. The Rollei Planar is a modification of the Ultron design, so the early Voigtländer Ultron was different (with concave front element), then came the modification by Zeiss which was used by Rollei and Voigtländer both, but the last version of the Voigtländer Color-Ultron 50/1.8 was simplified from 7 to 6 elements. I think this must be the "late version" seen in that page from taunusreiter and in the picture that you included in your first post.
In this thread this 6 element version is mentioned twice (also in the last page) but I did not find more info about it. |

I know about the early concave design. But no other sources except some forums mention the 6 elements design for 50/1.8 lens. Here is another taunusreiter page http://www.taunusreiter.de/Cameras/Bessa_RF_histo.html |

The adaptor exist:
Russian: http://forum.fourthirdsphoto.com/showthread.php?t=45678
Another from China but you may not able to find them in ebay.
You MAY have to do it little modification on the lens.
BTW. We have a section for adaptors. _________________ https://www.instagram.com/_lens_fever/
