I just received my Leica Summaron 35mm 3.5, but it has a view finder attached (see pic)... I cant work out how to get it off - does it come off, errr, doesnt it?
if not, this is not a happy christmas Sad

Just push the googles towards the front of the lens...

First: you should remove the screws where the google attaches to the barrel of the lens.

From what I understand, the goggles are used with the M3 because they engage the 50mm frame, thus the goggles are necessary to show a 35mm view. I've heard of the lens being altered so that it will engage the 35mm frame (on cameras that have it, I'm assuming), so the goggles are not necessary. Or one can use an accessory viewfinder of course if the goggles are removed.

Yeah!! I finally got the goggles off. I just had to slide them off, but I had to push very very hard.
