A couple Portraits with a Bessa RF Heliar.
The pic of the Bargirl has a bit of handshake going on.
The speed was simply to low for me to handhold especially, with the camera upsidedown to shade strong light from above.
She has a cute smile though so I'm posting it anyway
Film was HP5 shot at 400 and developed normally in Tmax developer

Thanks for your comments guys.
The Heliar is for sure an interesting lens.
The amazing thing to me is how much contrast this un-coated lens has when conditions are right.
The last pic is easily the best of the bunch. I had my back o the sun here for this one.
There are many very poor contrast and flarey shots in this roll as well. When the light is not perfect the images do really suffer.
@ Bill
It's on it's way to you. I put it in the post today And Yes, Thanks Attila _________________ Moderator |

Here are test shots from the first roll, Ilford Delta 400 dev'd in my
Thornton's 2-Bath homebrew, 5 mins each, 20C:
all at f5.6
Shutter was stuck on some of these where I had to hold the camera in my
right hand and reach underneath the lens with left to trip the shutter, will
work on this now that there's no film in the camera. Really like my
homebrew using T-grain films. Pix taken today, and now it is snowing to
beat the band outside, have 2 inches down already. |

Olivier, Attila, Paul, and Andy, thanks gents, I'm happy with this camera!
Andy, this dev is cheap as chips to make (get a good scale to measure) and
one batch will dev up to 20 rolls of 120 film. Best results with Kodak TMAX and Ilford Delta, love the acutance.
Thanks again, and Andy, love that last shot of yours!
Thought I'd add this as it really opened my eyes on how good
Thornton's is with T-grain films, '37 Bessa Skopar:
TMAX 400, 5 mins each bath, 20C |
