Well obviously, it must be a lens designed for aerial photography, as the "aero" in the name implies. I'm guessing it's huge? I love my Kodak Aero Ektar 178mm (7in) F2.4 on my Speed Graphic (4x5 LF camera), but I wonder if this lens might not even be adaptable on 4x5.... I'd love to see pics! _________________ Sony α7R, Pentax 67II, Kiev-60, Hasselblad 203FE, 903SWC, Graflex Norita 66, Mamiya M645 1000s, Burke & James 8x10, Graflex Pacemaker Speed Graphic (4x5 and 3x4), Century Graphic (2x3), R.B. You probably could use this on some 4x5's I think.
Its not a telephoto so probably not enough bellows extension on a Speed Graphic or the small field cameras, but a proper view camera could do it. It may probably be OK on my Meridian. I don't think one should look for close focus though.
The other problem is size and weight. It looks like you would want something that takes rather large lens boards !
It should be quite interesting on an 8X10, I think it would cover that nicely, and your bellows problems would go away. 8x10 portrait lens ? _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |
