Bought this lens recently. Wondering if anyone has tips how to fix the above problem? Or how to take apart lens?

Perhaps remove lens mount and grind down metal tube?

Well finally I ground the lens down, practically to the threads. Now it almost reaches infinity. I could go further I guess. Confused
Here is a shot at infinity(according to lens markings). It is much better than before. Any advice appreciated.

Looks like you did a good job. Any advice now would probably be redundant. Use the lens and lets see what it is capable of.
