Hi,

my son made an upgrade from LX3 to LX5. In another forum is a thread about this cam and I would like to take the opportunity to post the images here as well for those members thinking about to buy this cam.

Shot in iA-mode (fully automatic mode by the cam), JPEG out of the cam, only resizing here for the forum. Nothing special, only to try out the cam.

Wink

I have to look them on my 13" laptop
the small lcd make miracles with poor pics

Good idea. Use your 13" laptop as your standard equipment and you will never seen poor images here again.

I am now on my 13" laptop, it is a HP 2730p
the screen is quite good and can be viewed from any angle without variation
it is funny, all defects have almost disappeared Shocked

1) Thanks for showing these images, Rolf. The LX5 is a VERY interesting camera.
2) Poilu's experiences again shows us that we should always consider on which monitor we look at images when we judge on them.

I downloaded some raw files from the lx5 and the quality is quite good for a p&s
maybe the jpg engine doesn't make a good job or the compression was set to high
