Sorry, everyone. Embarassed

It's been a while since I've been active around here.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I scored a Pentax Spotmatic Angle Finder,
with case, in perfectly mint condition, for US $42.50 shipped!

There is not a blemish to be found on the case, or the outer shell of the finder,
and nothing to be found on/in the optics. It rotates to the very positive click detents
as expected, the diopter adjusts smoothly, it fits
snugly and without modification to my EOS 40D camera, and it truly
looks like a brand-new item. The image is top-to-bottom correct, but
side-to-side reversed, though I can live with it if it means I won't have to
flop down on my belly to get those low-to-the-ground shots. Wink

Considering that Canon's angle finders routinely sell for nearly US $200,
I am supremely pleased to have grabbed the Pentax, and not have any
modification issues needed for a fit to my camera. W00T!!!!!!

**We now return you to your regularly scheduled program**

Great buy I have seen them go higher...where did you snare that from?

It was a lucky eBay purchase, Buy It Now, with minimal shipping charges attached.

I have been looking for quality angle finders for some long time,
and found the Seagull and Canon finders to be prohibitively expensive,
with Canon's finders at almost US $200. Seagull's offerings are really
not so expensive, but their quality is not so impressive with a disappointing
lack of features and quality.

I'm just glad the Pentax finder fits my Canon 40D, without any modification.

Sounds like you were at the right place at the right time! Very Happy

Indeed, I was. Wink

There was an earlier Canon finder, with an adapter for EOS cameras,
but it got bid higher than I wanted to pay. The Pentax remained as
listed, so I jumped on it.

The longer you look, the more good stuff you get, but it is addictive!

Take pics and post them!
