I own a Welta Weltax which is probably the post WW2 version. It's a lovely small no-nonsense 6x6 6x4,5 folder. Very portable !

The Tessar is the East-German variant (aus Jena). Still from the time that it was not forbidden for Zeiss Jena to use that name. They later had to resort to the letter "T" for Tessar type lenses.

Did you make photos with your Welta ? The Xenar should be a good lens too !

Not yet, Xenar is on my wish list long time ago.

My '37 Certo Super Sport Dolly has the same lens, though the camera is 6x6, and it is unit focusing rather than front cell. Nice lens, I've had good results. The "32 mm" push on shade that fits a Kodak Retina 35mm folder also fits these.
