But its not as good as the Carl Zeiss 85mm f1.4 Planar T*...I have both and I would have no worries about selling the Helios. Wink

Thats what I like to hear Smile

I just checked out the specs, and the planar is 400grams lighter! and 23 years newer!


Once my Planar arrives Ill see how that works out, the disadvantage I have is:

1:Helios 40 is converted to M42 mount and works on my Pentax KX and rebel XT
2:Planar is Contax Mount, and will only work on my Rebel XT with the C/Y adapter

I guess I could sell both and grab a ZK planar , or have it converted with a Leitax adapter
