The following were taken with a Pentacon 50mm 1.8 on an EOS 450D (please be gentle! I'm still learning!)

Some nice shots!

I prefer #4 and #6, especially the light and colors in the latter, even though the composition is not ideal.

Do you have any tips for focusing with a DSLR? I find it very hard to get a good focus through the tiny viewfinder...

very nice series, great compositions!
450D have a small viewfinder, you can use liveview when needed
also try film camera to enjoy big viewfinder

Here's a couple more of Hong Kong in general (the first one I'm not too sure if it's Hong Kong or China, but it was taken from the Hong Kong side of the border Razz):






I'll definitely remember to try use the live view function in the future, even though the resolution on the LCD is kind of low!

But definitely you can focus more accurately with LW if you use open apertures.

Nice ones with a smooth background blur, this is a good lens, old but hey ... fine debuts

Yes ! My advice is : get a full frame Very Happy
