Now again 25mm lens, this time it is made by Carl Zeiss. Actual manufacture is Cosina
as you know, but it is well built and also pricey. However its drawing is superb and
and sharp as usual, hardly any distortion (you cannot detect easily). As before, I try to
pick photos not in my HP http://www.pbase.com/kkawakami/biogon25zm&page=all.
Random order, more unfamiliar scenes for you.
1) inside the car of a commuter train night in Tokyo Fuji Reala
2) Golden temple in Kyoto early morning (quite a nice colour, Fuji Reala)
3) in Kyoto, met with a group of school trip boys and girls (Fuji Reala)
4) Kiyomizu-temple in Kyoto, professional photog takes a shot using FUJI 690W?
5) Prayers in Kiyomizu-temple @f8 (Fuji Reala)
6) Shopping for fan in Kyoto near Kiyomizu-temple (Fuji Reala)
7) A view of cemetery (one kind of Buddest sect, after death everyone must be equal, Fuji Reala)
8 ) Culturing pearls in ISE-SHIMA area Japan (same as culturing Oysters, Fuji Reala, each raft costs 20 to 50-thousand dollars, made of bamboo lattice and styloform(?)-floats)
9) Tree trunk with moss at ISE-shrine (oldest shrine in Japan, Fuji Reala)
10) Toledo in Spain (Fuji Reala, same place as where Planar 45/2 had a shot, wider view)
11) at CasaBlanca (Fuji Reala, same as P45/2 shot, P45's colour is more faithful to me)
12) at Cintra Portugal (was tough to shoot, Fuji Reala)
13) Snapshot at hotdog stand (M8 )
14) Night view of Toronto from friend's condo (M8 ISO 1250, noisy)
15) Snow 1 (2008 Jan, M8 )
16) Snow 2 (2008 Jan, M8 )
17) Morning sun @f11 (M8, very strong against flare and ghost)
18 ) Royal Ontario Museum (ROM in short, Kodak RDPIII)
19) a monument at a new condo (M8, f8 )
20) Reflection at St. Michael Church (part of St. Michael College, M8, upside down)
This lens is a very good in many ways. I dropped the lens together with M6 in Gabor
in Czech, luckily only hood was dented but M6 was retired with broken rewind clank.
I later fixed the clank after coming back from eastern european trip. The lens was OK.
This lens is one of the best 24-25mm lenses IMHO, but it is M-mount one.
That's all for today.
PS: We are going to Egypt this November with Bessa-R4m with this lens and M8+28mm.
So you will see some more of examples later this year if nothing happens before. _________________ Our Home Page has 18,200 photos in 575 directories today.

Incedible presentation Koji!
I love to see your pictures
I think I will erase any all the lenses from my list and write down only this one.
This lens with 2/35 Biogon and 2/45 Planar would be the perfect RF set up.
Ok maybe the Hologon also can play along _________________ Moderator |

Hey Guys, the lens did it. I just aimed and press the shutter button.
One day I want to use Biogon 35/2.8 ZM. But I have already too many
35mm lenses, and too many other things to inspect. My wife just bought
iPhone two days ago, it was too busy to come here.

OK, here is more. Random order, by the same lens B25/2.8ZM.
in Japan Regular commuter train at night
in Kyoto, Japan
In Kyoto, pickles shop (pickles is very popular in Kyoto)
in Fes, Morocco old caravan sarai(?) now leather factory
in my neighbourhood
That caravan structure is Arabic invention, you can see the same structure
all over Spain, Portugal, Italy, and even in Palo Alto (stanford university's Quad). _________________ Our Home Page has 18,200 photos in 575 directories today.

Wow! Another gorgeous set! Yes, I wrongly called the first train pic part of
the Shin, but it's a newer version of the second. The Shin trains look like the
inside of jet airliner! And-are-much-faster! Forgot to add that I love the
snow scenes, but my favorite out of all, is the last, a lonely red scooter in later afternoon light, simply superb!
I miss the coffee shops, the yakiniku steakhouses, the video shops, Daiichi electronics shops, and being able to ride a bike without worrying
about being killed! My wife I'm sure misses Izumi's.
Marvelous lens!

Poilu, though Koji-san's skills are self-evident, this is not a contest. I've
elected myself to be last and the least, so my journey will be the longest. |

Sorry to hear that, Klaus.
I have simple far-sightedness due to age (64.8 ).
It is not difficult to get eye-piece magnifier to diopter
adjustment so far. But I have arthrytus (not rhumatoid one,
what a difficult spelling!), so one day I will not able to hold a camera.
That is the end of my photography, I guess. _________________ Our Home Page has 18,200 photos in 575 directories today.
