I went whale watching and took my K-X and some takumars

135mm super mc Takumar is the first batch here

The problem was I had a 3 yr old on my lap when we were close to the whales, I wanted to enjoy the moment instead of worrying about setting the camera up for shots, when my wife took her, Imanaged these though........

Great serie with a great lens...I like especially the shots of the whales, we don't see it very often on this forum Very Happy ...
(Was it in the State of Maine???)

I want to see more photos of the vessel! Very Happy (btw, I wouldn't go out on that ship in heavy weather, not with those cocked turnbuckle fastenings relying on cotter-pin shear strength -- I've seen those pins bend and shear the cotter pin, pop! there goes the rigging...)

it was a cool ship. and i took exactly zero shots of it Sad

Corralling 2 kids around a dock at low tide in the bay of fundy was a lot of work , we had to go down almost 25 feet on a steep gangplank to get to the ship, once we returned we stepped off onto the pier as it was almost high tide

I think actually that we have one of the highest tides in the world up here
