The big daddy lens arrived today. You know this thing isn't looking too bad. It's no Takumar, but I played with it a bit and I think it will do. Tree down the road focused up real nice and I got a decently sharp telescope type view of the neighbor's cable antenna on their roof.

It's not a T-mount. Screws right on the SPII. Light weight. I can hand hold this one actually if I wanted to. No case, no caps though. I've got to get something to store it properly in. It's a bit dusty inside, but not badly so.

Not too shabby for $12!

Laughing Interesting to get one , but chance to use them very limited at least for me. I look forward pictures taken with this lens and of course from lens itself too.

I think it will come in very handy around here when the birds start coming back. It's too hot now for much other than the local birds and even those seem to be hiding lately because it's the dog days of Summer around here right now, but come Fall? I think I'll be able to give this thing a proper workout.

I was very surprised by how light it was and by the simple screw on mount bit. It was a lot less complicated lens than it initially looked like.
