Lovely image Attila,

It is so nice to see such a beautiful historic city not ruined by high rise development.

WW2 made high damage, Budapest was protected against Red Army ~ 6 months almost every area was destroyed all bridges , Buda Castle . Rebuild was surprisingly quickly done , we can still found many buildings with trace path of ww2 and 1956 when we made freedom fights against communism terror. Nowadays danger come from Israel they want destroy old buildings and make new hi-towers like you can find all around the globe. They current project is destroy a whole street in city and build glass houses there.

No, I don't have any picture from markets yet. I think in nice historical cities like we have all over in Europe no space for ugly skyscrapers simple they are not in harmony with old buildings. Come here and we can arrange a short MFLenses meeting Smile I already met here with Poilu and Orio , hopefully I can meet soon with Klaus too.
