Some samples from the lens that i've bought from Darmodej. Its quite nice with lots of CAs in bokeh make me envy a APO . Unfortunately the APO telyt is out of my reach atm Sad .

Thanks Karabud for info. After some disappointed first impressions about its performance, especially in CA correction, i've been out yester day to test it in realworld shooting the fish market in Marseille and what i can say is i like this lens inspite of its flaws. Some images to explain why i changed my mind.

I have seen some of your images at FM too. Very nice, beautiful and great colours and sharpness.

I´m always impressed about the perfect results of the 450D in combination with your lenses.

Wink

+1 it hasn't strong 3D as West Zeiss but very nice colours and more creamy bokeh. Its look is more classic though.

nice series! nice visit in Marseille
I don't find evidence of CA, the antenna in #3 seems clean to me
how do you find a 300mm (on 40D) for street shot, isn't heavy or too long

Nice pictures and impressive lens. I don't see much CA either. I've never taken a lot of interest in this lens because of its size and weight, maybe I need to think again.

Most of the people at the market seem to enjoy their food! Smile

Incidentally, some of the pics aren't loading on my screen but I can view them with right click - weird.

Superb samples! These two are my fav. but the all serie is really great.
Above the IQ of this lens, the atmosphere from the "marché marseillais" is fantastic, you can almost smell the fishes and hear the peoples talking with the famous "accent du Sud"......
I really like a lot and I'm really impressed with this combo, but the photographer is of course not for nothing with this results Wink ....

Nice series. That's a lens that takes some mastering. When it's "on". it's outstanding (as you demonstrate)

Thanks Attila and Patrickh for kind words. yeah it's a very good lens but as we all know Cas and LoCA are really annoying in moderate Dof especially with a busy background . Sometime i deleted the photos without bothering to correct it. The only thing stop me go for APO telyt is its price Very Happy .

Unfortunately this is not true for OOF highlights at f/1.4 or 2.0
An example from my Contax 1,4/85 (I love this lens).
See in full size please.

On the other hand, I think nobody ever dared to call an 1.4 lens an "APO".
Or am I wrong?

I think Klaus has a much better knowledge, but I think the fastest "common" APO lenses are around f/2:

Voigtlander Macro APO Lanthar 125/2.5
Angenieux APO 180/2.3
Leica APO Summicron-M ASPH 75/2.0
Leica APO Summicron-M ASPH 90/2.0
Leica APO Summicron R 180/2.0
