I love getting shots of just the sun, but it's usually difficult unless there is some kind of cloud cover. This is at 1/8000th of a second, f/11 and ISO100 and still just barely managed to retain the highlights as the sun was already quite high (about 40 minutes after sunrise).


Wanted to get the moon coming up right behind the church on the right, but the clouds didn't agree, still managed to get them together with the Jupiter 21M, didn't even notice the American flag in the picture when I shot it:


This is shortly before the sun emerged during sunrise, to me it almost looks like its coming up from behind a snowy hilltop. Also used 5 stops of graduated filters on the CZJ 135 to try and keep everything in check:

Shot 3 is very nice , love how you captured the sun.
