I am not complaining. I got my money back and had enjoyed using the 5D for 1.5 year. Now it will be in the good hands of another fellow photographer who is upgrading to a full frame. I enjoy spreading some happiness around!

I got my 5D for 750 euros. With the accesories yours had a pretty fair price. |

I totally agree ... here (italy) the out-of-ebay average price for a body only 5D is 800-850 eur depending on overall status of the camera.

That's what I thought, but from a seller's point of view, even when you take away ebay+paypal fees (approx £82), it's a great ending price! |

However, bear in mind that some newbies get confused about the Canon range. The winning bidder (on 5 feedbacks) may have made an error and bid it up thinking they were buying the current body.
There are also winning bidders who don't complete the payment. I've had that happen to me. When Ebay investigated they discovered that the bidder was determined to spoil my auction. |

Anyone can sell on Amazon / Amazon UK / etc. I sold my 5DC through Amazon. You do need to create a seller's account and register a bank account. The beauty of the scheme is that Amazon take responsibility for collecting the payment, and transferring money afterwards from them to you is very reliable and safe.
Yes they take a fee and it can be quite high, (you'll know before completing the listing), but the quality of the transaction is good. You can sell any product second hand that they or their partners sell new. Take a look at any Canon product listed today and on the right hand side of the screen you will see a link entitled "Have one to sell? : Sell yours here.". Take it from there. It will guide you through the process. There is not an auction. It's Buy it now, but potential buyers can contact you with queries and offers.
Just bear in mind that there aren't so many potential buyers scouring lists every day, so getting a sale can take longer. Popular products should sell quickly.
I sell unwanted academic text books. I keep them listed for a year, and every so often Amazon emails me to say that one has sold and I have to post it within 48 hours. Makes me happy and pays for small photographic accessories. (£500 one year!!)
