mmm...sorry, still chewing last bite of oatmeal porridge...

How very true!

wheat bread fresh baked in outdoor clay oven

corn-beans-squash. (I like grits too!)

rice & beans.

acorns!

even some wild grasses make good bread.

Some would say the root cause of our current overpopulation problem; I just eat it! Very Happy

I really like the depth in the photos taken with Distagon; very nicely composed!

Love the bottom two shots. Wheat is an important crop in Alabama, maybe third behind soybeans and corn with spring and fall plantings ...

Oh yes, Embarassed , Barley, which is shown in these photos...in Winter barley & kale soup provides a lot of warmth. I like Rye too.

Barley is also the main ingredient in BEER! Cool
