I was snapping a few pics at end of the day and chose FD 100 f2..

I forgot to switch the resolution of the camera to the highest res but never mind..

All shots wide open and lens just held in front of the camera as usual Smile

Camera 5D MkII and pp in LightRoom ...

These FD lenses are works for you really , what is your plan with them ? Convert them to EOS or wait for better m4/3 bodies than current one ?

Attila -- some of them will be converted, some of them remain in the original shape .. especially apo-Lanthar 90 and 300 f2.8 Fluorite.. Smile

Great color rendition, and very alive pix, despite the "low" resolution of the 5D2.

+1. All your shots have incredible color and contrast. I'm sure it also has a lot to do with your PP skills.

BTW. A slightly off-topic question, but kind related to this.. Is it normal for the conversion from raw file to .jpeg (and tiff) to wash out colors (I clearly see it each time when I compare a raw file to a newly converted .jpeg in DPP). I can never preserve the color richness when converting from raw, but I guess that's normal...

Symphonic, I don't notice my raw files washing out when translated to jpg. What image processing software are you using for the conversion? Maybe its default settings are desaturating your images?

Trifox, brilliant captures. So you're just holding the lens in front of the camera, eh? What do you do for focus? Move back and forth, move the lens back and forth? I really like the bokeh in the shot of the beads.

There is a faulty, look some other converter or revise your process.

I use Canon's DPP software. This is the difference: gif
An obvious difference... (gif made by PrintScreening raw file as seen in DPP and jpeg as seen in windows photo viewer).

And I apologize for hijacking the thread. Embarassed
