Box Tengor 56/2

The only two from my visit to an old cemetery where the Box Tengor's shutter fired. I had the box on a tripod and was using a cable release, it appears the cable release isn't reliable.

Both are on the 3-6 foot distance setting of the lens, so this is probably not the lens at its best. Assuming a 1/50 or so shutter speed, and a f/11 aperture, I think the Foma 400 is really a EI 50-100 film when developed in Excel/Xtol.

Anyway, a vintage look:

I'm really liking that second photo. I did one shot of a field piece over in
Scottsboro using the Trip 35 2nd roll (Kodak Ultramax 400) and CVS
claimed that half the roll was split and wouldn't develop. All the Scottsboro
shots were lost. I've been having some bad luck with drug store processing
lately.

Yeah, two right together kinda sucks. Wink

So Jussi, how do you like the Box Tengor? I have an Agfa Box Synchro
I need to finish a roll (Fuji 400H). My first roll came out terrible where I
was holding the camera and had killer motion blur in the images. Definitely
a camera for a tripod or resting on some firm foundation. Or I need to go
to a doc to see if I have a seizure disorder. Laughing

I'd be very happy with that 2nd image. I don't think the Agfa is up to standard with the Box Tengor's lens, however.

I dunno, in theory the Tengor is a better camera - but I've had better luck with my Ansco Shur Shot which as no adjustments at all. I have not found a technique for the Tengor's shutter. My first roll is rather blurry and I already told the story of this second roll.

Here's one from the Ansco

+1, not too shabby at all. Well, I'll see what I get.
