Since I made a diffuser for this lens today, I decided to try some macro shots. Incidently, my cat caught a small rat today and decided not to eat it. Very soon it attracted a few of bottle flies and I could try out the diffuser on them. Razz
I have the impression that the Pancolar is even sharper then my Sonnar 135/3.5, the 100% crops somtimes really surprise me.

Excellent! Pancolar is well know how sharp even if reverse mounted.

WOW color and sharpness are amazing!
What adapter are you using to reverse-mount?

You need an a reverse adapter with M49 screw on one side , another side must match with your camera body.

Thanks!

Right now I'm just handholding the lens in front of the camera, but 2 days ago I ordered an adapter that Attila is talking about: Click here to see on Ebay

But still, most of these shots were taken with a set of extension tubes (56mm), just a few of them I did reversing the lens. I think the extension tubes give higher magnification, just my impression, I'm not sure.
