What is the magnification factor on the Hassy to EOS adapters¿ What is the effective view of say an 80mm Planar on a Canon 7d (aps-c).

How about a 40mm distagon? A 250mm?

Welcome to the forum.

I guess you are talking about the equivalent focal length with is equal to crop factor times focal length of the lens. Different film size have different crop factor: the larger the film, the smaller the crop factor. For example, your Canon 7d with a APS-C sensor has a crop factor of 1.6. So, the equivalent focal length of a 80mm Planar will be 80mm*1.6 = 128mm. You can calculate the equivalent focal length of the other lens in the same way.

Welcome!

Yes, 80mm stay 80mm.
It doesn't matter if you use a 80mm lens for a Hasselblad or for a Nikon.
On an EOS 7D it will work like a 128mm lens.

The good thing with a medium format lens is that on your 7D you only use the innermost part of the image and thus you will have a great performance up into the edges!
