Greetings !
Another serie of portraits, this time not only the eyes
Those are done inside a bar, as you may see,. Canon 5D and Minolta 1.4/50, converted in Lightroom. 1600 & 3200 iso shots, also i had tough times focusing, so some may be not the sharpest :s
advices etc, welcome, thanx.
by the way my prefered is the mirror one, despite the ghost on the right.

Well, to be honest, I'm not captivated with the eyes of the dame on your pictures .....
It's for sure a nice lady but the pictures are on my eyes not sharp enough to really appreciate it ....I don't know if it's coming from the lens, the light condition and/or the high iso or a combination of this three factors ......
My favourite is also the third one in the mirror |

No light no picture in this such a low light condition hard to make any good pictures. I suggest to get more light instead of several try in poor light. _________________ -------------------------------

I like them and #2 is my favourite.
Sharpness is not everything in this kind of shots. I always prefer some slight out of focus over the use of a flas gun, especially in bars and restaurants.
Nice work Hexi. _________________

I'm 100% agree with you but in this case, I don't think the sharpness "problem" is coming from the out of focus, but the exp. time was I think much to low for hand handle shots (Exposure Time = 1/6") ....but you are right, what’s more important is the atmosphere in that kind of pictures and here is the atmosphere very nice.... |

Oh yes, that's possible. I've just spotted some sharpness at her t*ies, but perhaps I was wrong...
I've had some success with underexposing one or two stops, then later pushing the digital image in Lightroom.
You could try that too Hexi. _________________
