I think you can get the Zuiko 50/1.4 for MUCH less than 250. More like 100. They are quite common, much more than the 50/2 macro. |

The 2/50 I have never tried. It is not a very common lens.
All reports are that it is superb. The 3.5/50 is fantastic for the price (usually around $100 or less).
Only 1/2 stop slower than the elmarit. I say try it before shelling out for the Zuiko 2/50.
Few 1:2 or !:! shots are taken at less than f8. If you plan to do Macro speed of lens is not so important.

The stop was not the driver for decission - but the newer & more sophisticated lens design 3.5/50 is from the '70s (5-4) , the 2/50 is from the late '80s (9-7, ED?)
3.5/50 & a OM1 may be the cheapest entry to high-end photography
about 125€ - it has never been more affordable |

The Zuiko Auto-Macro is the sharpest 50mm lens wide open
