Nice shots but it looks like you are getting the same results as my Rokkor 58mm f1.4 on a film camera i.e. it is not one of the sharpest lens.

It may not be the sharpest lens as you say.
I dont think its at its sharp wide open- although I do like the bokeh. If stopped down a to f4 its pretty sharp- The second image is stopped down to f2.8 and it is sharper than the other two. Here is a cropped image of 2.

Well I too would give it good marks for bokeh and colours with film:-


.........but for me as the lens has a poor performance wide open and if I wanted to use a lens around 50mm would choose my slightly slower lenses F1.7s and f1.8s from Canon, Nikon, Zuiko or Hexanon. So in choosing other lenses it's a thumbs down for the minolta 58mm f1.4 (of course it's just my opinion).
