It was a beautiful if somewhat fresh day up in the Dandenong Ranges today. So i decided to visit the National Rhododendron Gardens, in Olinda.

The State Government has just made access to all parks free of charge Very Happy

Thanks Attila,

It is a bad habit of mine, i tend to like fern and water shots dark so i have brought the levels down in LR.

Here is the image just with Sigma Photo Pro Auto settings.

Sorry it ended up being slightly bigger than 1024!

Lovely pics there Steve, must get out your way sometime soon. Might wait till spring though as I know how nippy it gets up in them there hills as a recent trip to Mt Macedon made me aware of.

Hi Johnno,

It is a great time to visit, very few people around so you get fantastic freedom to take great shots, plus it isn't that cold! Nothing a beanie wont fix.

There are some stunning gardens up here to visit.

Here is are a few shots of the Alfred Nicholas Gardens. Which are just a few k's from Olinda.

I like the first two dark as well, better attractive for my eye. Nice shoots!
