Lens is no longer available

This evening I offer the following lens for your consideration.

Auto-Sears 1.4/55 in M42 mount
This lens is in good, well-used condition with some paint-loss to the body but no dents or scrapes.

Everything functions as it should; there is some internal dust, and some minor cleaning marks on the front element, but nothing that impacts on images.

This is a very sharp lens - samples taken with EOS 5D MkII attached below lens photos.

€65.00

I will ship Worldwide by Registered (signed-for) Post at €15.00, and accept PayPal (+3%) as payment method.

Please PM me with any questions you might have, and thanks for looking Wink

I have this same lens and it is surprisingly really good. It's one of my best landscape lenses due to its sharpness and color reproduction.

Seems like the contours are doubled outside of DOF. At least in the front.

Question

Isn't this a rebadged Mamiya Sekor 55mm 1.4? If so, someone needs to jump on this lens as it's an amazing piece of glass.

It's not Mamiya but Rikenon. Very good build quality, one of the most dust (internal) resistant lenses.

I've heard it described as a Tomioka design and build but I really don't know Smile

Looking at it again, you're right. Agree on the Rikenon. Got to really test it out this weekend and handled like a dream. If this lens is of the same lineage then it's a great deal!

Feel free to make a realistic offer by PM - otherwise this baby is going to the 'Bay...

I've agreed a trade with a forum member for some sweet Russian artillery, and the Sears will be making its new home in Belgium very soon Smile

Thanks Jurgen Wink

And you also know that you need to train your arm muscles now.
Russians only made heavy artillery Smile

Thanks Malachy,

Jurgen
