Micro-4/3 Adapter Question

Hi All,

I've got what's probably a silly adapter question. I'm considering picking up a micro-4/3 body - probably a Panasonic G1. I'll want to be able to use my existing K-mount and M42 lenses on it, and I foresee wanting to be able to use Leica M and Leica thread mount lenses as well.

Is there a compelling reason not to buy PK-to-m4/3 and a Leica M-to-m4/3 adapters, and then add M42->PK and LTM->Leica M adapters as necessary (as opposed to buying separate M42-to-m4/3 and LTM-to-m4/3 adapters)? I can think of one possible reason: using two adapters in tandem could conceivably increase the likelihood of focus issues attributable to small errors in manufacture. Another reason, I suppose, might be the overall "kludge" factor.

On the other hand, one could realize a non-trivial savings by doubling up on the adapters.

What do you think? Adapt the adapters, or buy an adapter for each mount?

Thanks for your help!

Cheers,

Jon
