There's something in that high microcontrast that b&w creates that makes an ordinary, bland image so much more interesting.
Applying a red or orange filter makes the sky look very dark, I love that effect.
 
 
I have more of them, but I'll stop here. I already crossed the line with the number of pics. 
What's your view of those? Am I overprocessing it? The contrast is probably too much for some, but I like it. |

I'm interested in how others perceive b&w. I like the results, but a part of me is under the influence of the standpoint that not every picture is "worthy" of b&w... Maybe I'm talking rubbish, but it can look pretentious sometimes and it feels like cheating, you take an uninteresting pic, convert it to b&w and suddenly it looks good. |
