Any Graflex experts here?

Using my Polaroid 600se, I discovered that I like handling and shooting large, slow cameras very much, especially if they use instant film. I love Fuji's packfilm in both b&w and color, and having to get the exposure right with no possibility of modifications later is working very well for me.

So I'm looking at expanding my arsenal, and I'm thinking of getting a 4x5 press camera to use mainly with packfilm, and maybe some color slides. The problem is -- apart from the funds involved -- that I know nothing about them, and they have a dizzying array of options and accessories.

Anybody here using press cameras who can help me decide on which model would be better for my intended use?

My choice is a pacemaker speed graphic. It has a focal plane shutter which means you can use all sorts of interesting lenses - Aero Ektar for example.
Make sure to get one with a universal/international back so you can use you packs.

About £250-300 for good working example. I got several junkers cheaply and put together a nice one.

US prices for these would be considerably less.

A 4x5 Speed Graphic or Busch Pressman with a "standard" lens like a Graflex/Wollensak or Kodak Ektar 135mm or 127mm in a 1940's-50's shutter will often go for about $100 if you shop well.

They will almost always need some work though.
