Steinheil Culminar 85mm f2.8 - Zeiss Ikon - Provia 100F

I was looking for a affordable 85mm for my Zeiss Ikon Rangefinder. Stumbled over a Steinheil Culminar 85mm f2.8, in Leica M mount, for very little money.
It's a very tiny lens, 15 blades, very smooth focus, a nice finish and with a original lens hood.
Finally it arrived yesterday, here are the first test shots.

I'm really impressed, it's my first no-Zeiss purchase in the last 24 months and I'm very happy with it! Highly recommended lens.

Nice, very nice! In my experience Steinheil good as Zeiss. I have two SLR lenses from them 135mm f2.8 and 85mm f2.8.

Yes, very nice with very good potential. I like my Steinheil lenses too. Great lenses for not too much money.

Yes Attila & Rolf, this is a great lens, I was so happy to find a M-mount Culminar.

Nesster, I have shot some portraits with Provia, last year, but I was not so happy, to much contrast. I'll stick with the ektachromes (epn, epy sw) for portraits. But for foliage and especially palms the Provia is just perfect.
