Had go at bird "in flight" photography today. I must admit this was a serious challenge to me even with a D2H camera firing at 8 frames per sec and with the aid of Nikon TC-16A AF 1.6x TC (http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/nikon/nikkoresources/teleconverter/tc16a/index.htm) which effectively gives a semi-AF lens. I fired hundreds of shot and was only happy with this one.

Nikon D2H + Tamron SP 80-200mm f2.8
Shot at f2.8, ISO 1600, 1/750s at 200mm. Raw processed in LR3 b2.

Probably not the sharpest of images.

What do you think?

Cheers Edgar - I think it is more "pot luck", and a bit of pre-focusing than great timing. I must admit, I was like "Rambo" machine gunning everything when I see the birds landing on the feeder!
